- Warmth at your feet affects the blood flow within the body and your head.
- Try a footbath in water, as hot as you can bear, for around 15 minutes.
- Add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the water, to make your footbath even more effective.
- At the same time as you have your feet in the hot water, lay a cold compress or flannel over your forehead, or around the back of your neck.

Head and Neck Massage and Osteopathy
- Try a gentle head and neck massage to help relieve your headache pain.
- This is especially effective for tension headaches.
- In a similar way, these can also be helped by osteopathy which will help to free up muscle tension which may be leading to head pain.
- Osteopaths work on freeing up muscles in the neck and base of the skull, and loosen up joints around the neck, back and shoulders. Unconsciously holding these in a poor or tense posture can lead to pain in the head.
